POSITION SUMMARY The Parts Prepper is responsible for the prepping of all workpieces to be utilized in the fabrication of the fire apparatus body. This position operates fabricating machinery such as the Time saver, shears, various hand tools, air grinders, electric grinders, polishers, D/A sanders. Clean up of Time saver dust collector. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Prep and or sands, deburr all workpiece parts to be utilized for bodies. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as the Time saver, shears. Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications. Hammers, chips, and grinds workpiece. Clean up Time saver dust collector. Maintains Time saver, changing sanding belts, general clean up. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members. Tools to be utilized: Hand tools, power tools, grinders, D/A sanders, cut off wheels, Time Saver Machine, shear, and tape measure.
