Millerbernd Manufacturing Co. Shipping/Receiving Operator II in Winsted, Minnesota

Now Hiring: Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Operator 2 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure team. The Shipping/Receiving Operator 2 is responsible for the identification of specific component parts and the preparation of products for shipment.

As a Shipping/Receiving Operator 2, you will:

  • Uses crane, hoist, forklift, or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required

  • Packages, bands, or shrink-wraps products or loads

  • Efficiently loads and unloads finished products on trucks

  • Provides input for loading decisions and executes the daily plan

  • Follows customer shipping specifications/standard work

  • Inspects material handling equipment and lifting devices

  • Verifies/Counts parts moved to match paperwork for inventory accuracy

  • Maintains accurate inventory of shipping materials

  • Interprets blueprints, BOL, and other necessary documents to identify parts

  • Interprets priorities to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner

  • Occasionally performs cycle counts

  • Specifies standard work and gives recommendations

  • Utilizes ERP software to understand the status of jobs & materials moving through the manufacturing process

  • Inspects deliveries and accurately logs documentation

  • Gathers/picks/assembles products on load lists

  • Puts product away in designated areas

  • Safely operates yard truck and payloader, as required

    Role Qualifications as a Shipping/Receiving Operator 2:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment operating Material Handling equipment including an overhead crane, yard truck, and/or payloader

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Skill to accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices

  • Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings

  • Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications

  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions

  • Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork

  • Ability to electronically record production information

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

The actual base salary for this role is based on various factors, including but not limited to market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The range provided is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

  • Shift options:

  • 1st shift is Monday - Thursday 6am – 3pm and Friday 6am - 10am

  • 10-hour shifts (per day) including paid breaks (1st and 2nd shifts)

  • Voluntary Overtime is available
