Millerbernd Manufacturing Co. Continuous Improvement Engineer (onsite) in Winsted, Minnesota

NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer. The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance of the organization’s processes. This role focuses on identifying areas for improvement, coordinating improvement projects, and ensuring the long-term success of implemented changes.

This is an on-site opportunity based in Winsted, Minnesota.

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other methodologies.

  • Manage improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

  • Utilize statistical methods to track and analyze the success of implemented improvements.

  • Recommend data-driven solutions to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, cost reduction, and quality

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement tools and techniques.

  • Encourage employee participation in identifying areas for improvement and contributing ideas for innovation.

  • Ensure the sustainability of improvement initiatives by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and visual management tools.

  • Standardize best practices across departments and ensure that continuous improvement becomes part of the organizational culture.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate the results of continuous improvement activities to management and stakeholders.

  • Provide recommendations for future improvement projects based on data analysis and feedback from teams.

    Role Qualifications as a Continuous Improvement Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred or 2-3 years of experience in continuous improvement, process engineering, operations, or similar roles. Other combinations of experience and training may be considered.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, statistical analysis, and process optimization

  • Be able to manage multiple projects while maintaining proficiency in recurring tasks

  • Communicate well with internal and external customers

  • Ability to interpret manufacturing prints and correlate part requirements to production processes

  • Strong PC skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Willingness to work in hands-on production environment

  • Ability to listen to others, analyze inputs, and appropriately act on the information provided
