RTP Company Logistic Fleet Maintenance Technician in Winona, Minnesota

The Logistics Fleet Maintenance Technician routinely performs preventative maintenance on a fleet of gas, diesel, and equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of equipment used in the facility. This includes receipt of, transporting, organizing and storage of the Logistics Fleet of tractor trailers, box trucks, and automobiles designated as pool vehicles. This position also assists with maintaining parts inventory, organizing, and maintaining the Truck Maintenance Shop, as well as inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions and breakdowns and performs repairs. This position must be able to take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and lifespan. NOTE: Must have own toolbox and basic tools. Work Schedule: 7am to 3pm M-F. Responsibilities Completes routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoots maintenance issues on standardized equipment including refueling, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, oil changes, body repair, coolant levels, and working with hydraulic and brake systems. Detects and troubleshoots engine, electrical., mechanical transmission, and auxiliary equipment issues to make a vehicle operational. Responds to production requests for immediate attention to equipment breakdowns Assists in maintaining the organization of the maintenance shop and adequate parts inventory Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc. Communicates and collaborates with other departments, including production, warehouse, and quality, regarding the status of maintenance projects and needs Participates in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods Proper storage and disposal of oil, coolant, diesel fuel, fuel filters, etc. in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines Ensures plant is maintained and in accordance with housekeeping policies and guidelines Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations Other duties as assigned.
