Ridgeview Medical Center Neurologist in Waconia, Minnesota

Purpose of the Job This position is responsible to Diagnose, manage, and treat disorders and diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, with a primarily nonsurgical focus. Job Functions Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care to people with epilepsy as part of a multi-disciplinary team Conducting thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical history reviews, examinations, and appropriate diagnostic tests. Diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions. Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, which may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to other specialists when necessary. Performing bronchoscopy. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care, specialists, hospitalists, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes. Minimum Education/Work Experience Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program and Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure Ability to obtain and / or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school Completion of a residency program in pulmonology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Experience in performing bronchoscopy. Experience in ordering and interpreting imaging Knowledge/Skills and Abilities Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions. Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
