Position Summary This position is responsible for performing assigned accounting functions and assisting the finance department staff with special projects as appropriate. Staff Accountant II Essential Functions Accounts payable data entry, processing, and maintenance of accounts payable records Company credit card data entry and reconciliation Reconciliation and daily import of accounts receivable detail from practice management software Reconciles bank statements and addresses discrepancies between the bank, accounting software, and practice management software Prepares journal entries and account reconciliation for month end close process Weekly import and mailing of patient refunds Monthly note payable journal entries and balancing to amortization schedules Special projects as assigned Preparation of various tax filings and maintenance of records Gathers reports for annual tax returns and periodic compliance audits done by outside CPA firm Prepares unclaimed property annual filing Assists with IRS 1099 annual filing Other Essential Functions Must be available to work outside of regular working hours on occasion and able to travel to other offices as needed Must present self at the workstation, ready for work, at the scheduled time Participates in department and company meetings, as requested Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
