This job posting will be used to fill two (2) vacancies
Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our DCT Accounting Team for two exciting and rewarding opportunities as an Accounting Officer Intermediate! These positions will provide direction for DCT staff in need of non-patient care billing accounts receivable and creation of invoices to be billed, along with tracking and resolution of customer account issues. This position also reconciles and replenishments non-enterprise imprest cash accounts as well as social welfare accounts within SWIFT and with local banks.
Primary responsibilities:
This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining information to ensure an up-to-date billing system in SWIFT for non-patient care DCT programs and is in compliance with statewide, DHS, and DCT policies.
Prepare bank reconciliations for social welfare and imprest cash accounts.
Serve as a policy chair for the Managed Cash Advance for Employee Use policy along with manager of funds for DCT programs.
Provide assistance to supervisors, managers, and other staff members as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or cash reconciliation experience that demonstrates the following:
Experience with financial systems (i.e., SWIFT, GASB) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications.
Experience resolving fiscal discrepancies and developing and implementing fiscal procedures.
Experience interpreting and analyzing fiscal data, reports, and records.
OR
Three (3) years of administrative support experience in the area of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliation, that demonstrates the following:
Experience entering information into various financial systems (i.e., SWIFT, GASB) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications.
Experience supporting the development and implementation of fiscal procedures.
Experience entering and creating fiscal data, reports, and records.
Note: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related degree may substitute of 1 year of administrative support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare accounting or other government accounting experience.
Experience working with state or federal auditors.
Experience with the State of Minnesota’s SWIFT Accounting system or similar (Oracle’s PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management 9.1 Enterprise Resource Planning).
Proficiency in MS Access, SQL, BI Query, or other similar database management skills.
Knowledge of MMIS claims data/business analysis.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands under tight time constraints.
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
