The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides comprehensive services to 740 civilly committed clients. Services include sex offense specific treatment, education programming, therapeutic recreation, vocational programming, and volunteer services.
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking an individual to join our team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an Office and Administrative Specialist, Senior for St. Peter, MN location.
The Office & Administrative Specialist, Senior provides work direction and technical assistance to other health services staff and develop, implement, and maintain office procedures and work systems to efficiently and effectively ensure timely delivery of nursing and medical services to the MSOP population.
Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate and monitor all off-site specialty medical consultation requests, authorizations and appointment coordination
Establishes process and procedures for completion of all off-site specialty consult requests, necessary documentation and procedure follow-up
Function as coordinator and lead worker of clerical support of nursing services while demonstrating a high level of discretion and confidentiality to develop, implement, manage and maintain the medical records system procedures, practices and clerical support functions for the Health Services department at MSOP
Serve as a positive role model to clients during the course of providing services to demonstrate effective professional and personal behavior
Maintain a safe and secure facility so that clients receive quality professional services in a therapeutic environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Skill in customer service sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondenceandPerform the duties with politeness, respect, and interest in positive problem solving
Ability to accurately input, verify and edit electronic data.
Knowledge of document and/or records management systems sufficient to store, categorize, and retrieve electronic files
Knowledge of Medical Terminology sufficient to draft related documents and correspondence with accuracy and maintain records
Medical terminology sufficient to develop and maintain accurate medical records and transcribe medical reports, correspondence, records, patient- care information, statistics, medical research, and administrative material
Skill in using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to enter, compile, store, and retrieve data
Ability to type letters, forms, reports, and other materials
Knowledge of Word processing sufficient to use software to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents including written correspondence, records, reports and forms
