MMCAP Infuse (https://infuse-mn.gov/) is a free, voluntary group purchasing organization (GPO) operated and managed by the Office of State Procurement (OSP) of the State of Minnesota's Department of Administration for government facilities that provide healthcare services. MMCAP Infuse has been delivery pharmacy and healthcare value to members since 1985. MMCAP Infuse's primary function is to provide a full range of pharmaceuticals to its participating facilities. It also has contracts for vials and containers, medical supplies, drug testing, returned goods processing, influenza vaccine, dental products and services, and dozens of new lines of business.

We are seeking a Membership Coordinator to manage facility membership and membership activities. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain new member resources.

  • Decide class of trade for MMCAP Infuse members.

  • Work with vendors to clarify member business model and resolve class of trade denials.

  • Identify, document, and resolve membership issues.

  • Act as a liaison between MMCAP Infuse, MMCAP Infuse State contacts, and MMCAP Infuse members.

  • Provide customer support to participating entities and facilities within MMCAP Infuse.

To promote a culture of flexibility, we offer staff a hybrid work environment that varies by team, position, and business needs. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. At a minimum, one (1) onsite day per month will be required. Completion of a telework agreement will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, health science, business administration, or closely related field may be substituted for one (1) year of experience as described.

  • Familiarity with the procurement issues, business terminology and common transaction requirements of pharmaceutical acquisition.

  • Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply rules and definitions of the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong communication skills to deliver complete and accurate documentation.

  • Customer service skills sufficient to interact with customers (in person, over the telephone, or via email) in a courteous, tactful, and diplomatic manner.

  • Strong computing skills in a PC environment (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat or similar software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician certification.

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM).

  • Experience with membership coordination.

  • Experience with billing and registration.

  • Ability to quickly learn about business needs of MMCAP Infuse facilities to meet their pharmaceutical usage and purchasing needs.

  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated attention to details, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
