POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES The Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in providing a high level of support to our employees. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, HRIS data, HR process, and HR documentation. Audit and verify accuracy of all employee change requests. Offer back-up support to payroll and benefits employees, and other HR functions. Monitors and responds to most needs in our universal HR email inboxes. Act as the first point of contact for employees who have any questions or concerns regarding policies, procedures, and programs, and respond accordingly or redirect to appropriate staff. Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Assist with Workers' Compensation cases. Intake claims, file First Injury Reports and communicate with colleague and claims adjuster as necessary after claim has been filed. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carriers. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains organizational charts for Operating Team Members within HRIS. Lead efforts to effectively manage external portals and safety programs. Manages the development and production of annual company calendar. Respond to HR data requests from customers, both internal and external. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Bachelor's degree in human resources or related degree. 5+ years of HR experience. Proficient in use of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others. Problem solving skills; ability to think critically and escalate when appropriate. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application. Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel Preferred Knowledge of Deltek VantagePoint or similar project software. Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Experience with payroll processing. Previous experience with benefit administration. SHRM-CP, PHR or other HR certifications are a plus.
