Description Role: Provides professional support to all specific areas of Payroll & Human Resources such as payroll back up, benefits, policies and procedures, and other HR generalist duties Major Duties and Responsibilities Performs administrative duties such as gathering benefit documentation on our various plans including health, dental, life, AD&D, flex, vision, critical illness, pet, short and long term disability. Works with 3rd party vendor to track leave pay, ensure COBRA tracking is correct, weekly/monthly benefit billing, present New Hire Orientation and track benefit enrollment. Prepares new employee orientation materials and updates as needed. Must be able to work in office requirement weekly. Other Duties Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control Exhibit Blaze's 5A culture - Ambassador, Achievement, Ambition, Ability and Attitude? Regular and predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation Requirements Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses 1 - 3 years of HR experience Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR or SHRM preferred Demonstrated Knowledge Communicate effectively with people both verbally and in writing (listens and understands problems and assist staff at all levels as needed). Good problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to arising problems Familiar with Microsoft Office and reports in Excel Understand and interpret various employment laws such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws Strong customer service and relationship building skills Professional, high-energy, enthusiastic team player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Organized, detail orientated Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Communication Skills Ability to proactively respond to members/staff to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.
