The Department of Corrections-Education Department is seeking a Director of Educational Technology and Integration! The Director of Educational Technology and Integration is a new position, and the Director will lead the selection and implementation of innovative technologies that support, enhance, and extend learning in educational programs across the Department of Corrections. The Director will direct and manage the integration of technology in the education program and DOC classrooms, select hardware and software technology solutions for secondary and postsecondary education programs, and lead the training and ongoing development of students, teachers, staff and administration in effectively utilizing DOC education technology. The Director will serve as the technology lead for DOC’s education division both internally and externally, working closely with MN.IT and many other technology partners to oversee application and technology integration as well as timely resolution of tech support issues, software updates, and device maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience working with education technology in an education setting*A Master's degree in Education, Technology, or a related field may substitute for 18 months of experience, a Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology, or related may substitute for one (1) year of experience
Experience working with Learning Management Systems
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position:
An advanced degree in Education, Technology, or a related field
Experience working in corrections-based education programs
Experience working with corrections-based technology
Experience managing partnerships for a state agency or higher education institution
Physical Requirements

Additional Requirements

Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
