Ulteig Engineers Human Resources Business Partner in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Description The Opportunity Ulteig is currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing team. Your primary mission is to partner in the execution of the strategic objectives of the business unit(s) and/or corporate function(s) that you support. You will build partnerships across the company to deliver value-added services that align with the business's strategic objectives. You will be directly involved in many aspects of the business and other HR activities, such as talent management, performance management, compensation strategy, employee engagement, and HR administration. You will assist in executing the HR Strategy and your client's business plan, improve current processes and develop and deploy new processes as appropriate. What You'll Do Business Leader Engage as a trusted advisor and coach to leadership teams to enhance their leadership effectiveness. Support leaders in implementing Business/HR strategies to ensure achievement of business objectives including strategic planning, organizational alignment, talent insights and employee experience. Serve as the main point of contact to Managers on employee relations, performance management, compensation, employee development and policy issues. Identify attrition trends and partner with leaders on appropriate improvement measures. Advise and influence managers and supervisors with day-to-day HR-related issues. Provide proactive, innovative, and business-focused HR solutions based on knowledge of the business, employees, and established objectives. Champion, develop, and align HR Strategy to ensure added value services and Return on Investment to the business. Participate in compliance-related activities including HR audits and investigations. Coordinate and execute compensation and rewards core processes, including appropriate communications. Talent Leader Actively participate in forecasting human capital requirements to support the business' strategic objectives, including supervisor and manager succession planning, talent development, career planning, engagement, and long and short-term workforce plans. Support the talent development strategy and assist with programs that foster individual and leadership development. Promote and drive the Performance Management process for the business/functions through coaching, training, and providing tools/resources to employees, managers, and leadership. Champion and support equity, inclusion and diversity efforts within the business. In cooperation with business leaders, support the identification, assessment, calibration, development, placement, and deployment of talent. Contribute to talent management initiatives and support integrated talent management processes, understanding the talent needs and issues before they impact the business. Support movement of resources across the businesses and ensure constant alignment with company policies and procedures. Work with appropriate business partners to ensure workforce/resource planning deliverables are executed. Coach individuals/teams, building strong capabilities amongst people managers. Facilitate talent development trainings and programs for groups or individuals. Change Leader Lead transformation and integration efforts for organizational changes, growth, and merger/acquisition activities. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Suggest optimization of existing processes and systems to support strategic objectives. Culture Steward Play a key role in reinforcing and communicating organizational culture and engagement. Ensure HR services are aligned with culture and compliance with policies and regulations. Purposefully help build an inclusive culture of excellence where everyone ca be themselves and contribute their best. Support Ulteig's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts by being an advocate to employees and working with leaders to create an environment of trust and belonging. Participate in and influence action planning on engagement activities. Work with managers to enhance the overall team and department engagement. Promote communication across the business/function to ensure key messages foster employee engagement and ensure Ulteig is a great workplace. Provide analysis and recommendations on engagement actions and benchmarking. HR Process Implementation and Administration Collaborate with other HR partners on the execution/deployment of strategies for Total Rewards, Employee Engagement, Talent Development, Performance Management, DEI, HR Compliance/Audit, Budgets, etc. Primary contact for Strategic HR Initiatives as assigned. Ad hoc projects as assigned. What We Expect from You Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources, including at least 2 years in an HR generalist/business partner capacity. Business partnering skills, business, and financial acumen. Proven ability to operate with integrity and build trust-based relationships. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, including building and maintaining effective relationships with business partners and gaining their trust and respect. High emotional intelligence. Willingness to challenge the status quo and be tenacious but respectful in pursuing meaningful change. Strong drive for results; results/outcome focused. Self-starter and ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment. Ability to handle both tactical and strategic assignments. Ability to make sound, quick decisions. Demonstrated ability to leverage networks to implement HR best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills: ability to effectively create and tailor written communications to inform, persuade, influence, and/or recognize employees and managers at all levels in the organization. Practical understanding of applicable labor laws and their application to workplace situations.
