Description
We are offering an extended contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Construction/Contractor industry. This position is based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with various assignments to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, support internal and external customers, and maintain our master supplier file in our financial database. Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain precise records of customer credit.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide resolutions.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.
• Provide support to both internal and external customers.
• Timely escalate issues requiring secondary level support to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
• Administer training and guidance on accounts payable procedures and processes to support Operations and HQ personnel.
• Utilize various accounting software systems like Great Plains, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel.
• Resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and ensure accurate check processing.
• Perform supplier setup and maintenance in the financial database.
• Utilize metrics to enhance training and provide tools to improve customer satisfaction experience.
Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is essential
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 is required
• Must have working knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Understanding of Accounting Functions is important
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required
• Knowledge in Check Processing is essential
• Data Entry skills are necessary
• Ability to handle Discrepancy is a key requirement
