St Cloud School District 742 Kitchen Helper -- 6-hour day in St. Cloud, Minnesota

SCHEDULE: Hourly Hours may vary based on program needs 30-hour work week REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Nutritional Services, First Cook, Building Principals SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS: Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years' work-related experience Preferred Bilingual Basic cashiering skills Knowledge of customer service principles POSITION SUMMARY: The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties, such as the preparation and serving of breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, general cashiering and cleaning. This position is partially grant funded and is responsible for preparing fresh fruits and vegetables for classrooms according to the requirements of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant Program (FFVP). SALARY: $16.01/hr - $16.88/hr ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Preparation of food as directed by head cooks Set up serving lines Serve food to students and staff Keep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stocked Count/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheets Makes short order food as needed (ice cream, malts, pop) Compiles food and supply orders Receives money for cash sales in ala-cart line Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with power washer Preparation of fresh fruit and vegetable snacks for classrooms according to FFVP Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions Light Work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
