Delivery/Forklift Driver GoldCom is a leader in the distribution of voice, data and security products for over 30 years. Located in South St. Paul we have a warehouse with over 15,000 products serving low voltage electronic companies. We are looking for a team member to interact with our customers on a face to face basis and process our orders and deliveries in an efficient manner. Qualified applicants must possess the ability to work well with others, identify and resolve customer issues, communicate with the sales team and commit to providing the best service. Daily duties include but are not limited to operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries to and from storage areas, loading docks, trucks and customer facilities. Computer processing of incoming and outgoing orders. Daily operation of our delivery van around the Twin Cities metro area. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting and repetitive movement. Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities: Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers. Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy. Inspects delivery vehicle and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process. Contacts customers to confirm delivery details. Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews. Maintains delivery logs and records. Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities: Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility Loading and unloading goods from trucks Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions Checking loads are secure Stacking empty pallets Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck s battery and lubricating equipment Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards General warehouse housekeeping duties Operate bulk cable cutting equipment and spooling Qualification Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills are required High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner Maintain a clean & safe environment Preferred but not necessary RF scanner gun experience Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator s license is required Preferred but not necessary Forklift certification per OSHA standards Qualified applicants are encouraged to submit your resume to johnh@goldcom.us or call (651) 457-7180.
