Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
Candidates will be setting up, creating offsets, loading, and unloading parts on a Mazak or Makino Horizontal mill. The role involves milling castings with tolerances of ±0.0005 on average. The machine is equipped with Fanuc controllers, a Tool Hive, and a 16-pallet changing system, primarily for 4-axis machining. The machine setup is stable, so most of the work will involve tool changes and offsets. Candidates will work off prints and occasionally use a crane to move products from the machine.
Responsibilities
Set up and create offsets on Mazak or Makino Horizontal mill.
Load and unload parts for machining.
Perform milling on castings with tight tolerances (±0.0005).
Utilize Fanuc controllers and manage tool changes and offsets.
Work off blueprints.
Use a crane to move products as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with horizontal milling and CNC milling.
Proficiency with Fanuc controllers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with tool changes and offsets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical Degree in Machining or equivalent experience.
Experience with Makino and Mazak machines.
It is not suitable for someone with only operator experience.
