Job Title: Welder
Job Description
Candidates will be primarily responsible for MIG welding on mild steel to create large rail cars. Products must be welded according to blueprint specifications. Additional tasks include TIG, stick, and flux core welding on various projects as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on mild steel based on blueprint specifications.
Conduct TIG, stick, and flux core welding on various projects.
Support ongoing projects with high-quality welding work.
Ensure all welding is performed to industry and company standards.
Essential Skills
At least 6+ months of professional welding experience or a welding degree/diploma.
Proficiency in MIG welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with TIG, stick, and flux core welding is advantageous.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Fabrication experience.
Certifications in various welding processes are a plus.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a large open industrial space. Depending on the project, welders may work independently in a welding bay or with a team of 1-2 other welders. Positions are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts. 1st shift runs from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, and 2nd shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm - 2am. 2nd shift employees typically train on the day shift for 2 weeks to 1 month before transitioning to nights. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
