DeZurik Inc. Assistant Director North America Industrial Sales in Sartell, Minnesota

GENERAL SUMMARY The Assistant Director, North America Industrial Sales is responsible for promoting sales to achieve the Industrial Business Unit (IBU) growth plans and sales targets for North America. This position will represent the organization by promoting company products, policies, and positions with key stakeholders including sales representatives, internal, and external customers. This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK s hybrid work schedule. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (GENERAL FUNCTIONS) Manage the North America IBU Regional Sales Manager team (direct reports) by: Supporting and providing direction of sales processes and procedures. Participating in setting sales goals and budgets. Assisting in project pursuit efforts and providing oversight including pricing strategy. Supporting the Regional Sales Manager team in customer and order negotiations when required. Collaborating with Key Account Managers and Sales leadership to develop and implement corporate contract and bid strategies. Leading personnel development efforts through consistent communication, individual goal development, and performance evaluation processes. Review and develop necessary sales policies to assist in managing the North America IBU representative network. Analyze North America and regional sales performance data to develop recommendations for improving market position. Work closely with sales leadership to develop and participate in sales department initiatives, leading on assigned select activities. Support product improvement and new development efforts by communicating opportunities to IBU leadership, assisting cross-functional teams with required application and sales data, and participating in sales release and promotion activities. Execute and promote the Industrial Business Unit (IBU) strategy through engagement with representatives, customers, Regional Sales Managers, and others. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience. 7-10 years of experience in a technical or sales management position serving the domestic Industrial market. Experience in Outside sales is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Effective communication, organizational, and conflict management skills. Proven decision-making abilities for bid preparation and execution. General understanding of acceptable business and sales practices. Commitment to team development, building and deploying strong talent throughout the North America Sales team. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone. Position requires visits to customer and representative locations. 25-40% domestic travel may be required. WORKING CONDITIONS Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
