Amherst H. Wilder Foundation - Lexington Thrive by Five Supervisor in Saint Paul, Minnesota

At Saint Paul Promise, we believe that brilliance begins at birth and that parents are their children's first teachers. We are seeking a full-time program supervisor for our new Thrive by Five program, which utilizes the Parents as Teachers (PAT) evidence-based home visiting model to deliver culturally relevant parent education and support to Saint Paul Promise families with children from prenatal to age 5. The Parents as Teachers (PAT) is an evidence-based parent education program designed to empower parents as their child s first teacher. PAT utilizes a home visiting model, working with families from pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten. PAT aims to improve parenting practices by increasing a parent s knowledge of early childhood development. Through home visits and ongoing developmental screenings and assessments, parent educators can help provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues, help in the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and increase children s school readiness and success. This position will directly supervise, mentor, and support our Parent Educators and carry a part-time caseload as needed. The Program Supervisor is also responsible for participating in PAT affiliate meetings and gatherings, meeting program fidelity, program and grant expectations, database requirements, completing reporting, coordinating Thrive by Five event logistics, and maintaining policies and procedures in collaboration with the Manager. This position will also involve supporting the expansion of Thrive by Five program offerings. This position will also support the overall mission of Saint Paul Promise. Essential Functions: Project Management and Engagement (50%) Supervise daily operations of Thrive by Five program staff Assist with the engagement of community leaders in the formation of a PAT community council Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training process of new staff Participate in the Parents as Teachers Implementation Institute, including becoming certified PATparent educator Build relationships with community resources for program and staff Coordinate with other agencies for coordinated services for families Attend and participate in all PAT affiliate meetings and community meetings Provide consistent reflective supervision for all Thrive by Five staff in accordance with PAT fidelity standards Work collaboratively with other Saint Paul Promise staff and programs to ensure families have knowledge and access to additional SPP programming Coordinate services with internal and external community programs Make referrals for further screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed Plan, coordinate, and implement recruiting, enrollment, and participation status initiatives in Thrive by Five programming Develop and support opportunities for participant engagement and program outreach Develop and maintain trusting and consistent relationship with families Provide excellent service in a culturally and linguistically appropriate way that empowers and supports each family member Work with other staff at SPP and community partners in a coordinated team approach Project Coordination (25%) Collaborate with Thrive by Five team and support with the planning and implementation of community and family gatherings Initiate and/or administer the PAT program following national and state PAT requirements and guidelines Responsible for supporting affiliate management and ensuring model fidelity Assist in developing the program implementation plan Ensure team successfully participates and completes annual required competency-based professional development hours to remain a certified Parent as Teachers Educator and affiliate Coordinate effo ts to support program and program logistics Ensure effective delivery of Parents As Teachers model delivery Assist with TB5 council creation and meetings Collaborate with internal and external partners Coordinate and facilitate program related meeting and events Ongoing management of program manual and program forms in collaboration with Program Manager Ongoing review of Thrive by Five and PAT processes to ensure easy access for families Data Management (25%) Ensure the accuracy of data collection and data entry and adhere to funder and program requirements, including reports and the PAT APR Maintain and submit in a timely way all required child, family, and program documentation Lead and participate in continuous quality improvement ensuring fidelity requirements are met Collect, monitor, track, and maintain all data on families and students served Collect, monitor, and track data and progress in a centralized and shared database Ensure the collection, entry, quality, and security of client data Assist SPP in coordinating and maintaining communication with families, the community, and preparing documents, reports, and written materials HIPAA Privacy and Security Requirements Create a workplace culture that recognizes and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to client privacy and security protections. Implement and oversee the execution of corporate HIPAA privacy and security policies and division and program level procedures. Consult with and/or report any concerns regarding HIPAA privacy and security practices or compliance issues to the Wilder Privacy and/or Security Officers. Flexibility with respect to time and days able to work (should be able to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate family and program meetings/events Facilitate and or participate in staff meetings, professional development Attend other training and meetings as required Supervision experience Experience and proficiency with technology and data management systems, including Microsoft Office and email.
