Job Description: About the Role: The Senior Accountant at Toppan Merrill is an integral team member of the Accounting Team, performing Financial Reporting and accounting functions to ensure the accuracy of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. This role may be remote. Pay range is $75k-$95k/Yr What You'll Do: Prepare journal entries and provide supporting documentation for assigned tasks during the close, including intercompany accounting and consolidations, intangibles for software development and more. You will also assist with financial reporting deliverables on a quarterly basis. Prepare account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. Ensure reconciling items are properly documented, resolved in a timely manner and adjustments are prepared Prepare fluctuation analysis for intercompany, intangibles, and related balance sheet accounts, identify trends, and ascertain reasonableness according to business activities Understand transactional workflow, be knowledgeable about the source of data and ensure data integrity. Lead initiatives to implement systems enhancements and automation opportunities Work with the software development team to understand the timeline and status of projects, tracking all software-in-progress and go-live dates Assist with Quarterly and Annual Financial Reports for submission to parent company, auditors and other internal and external customers Conduct analysis, identify unusual trends for further investigation Update process documentation for accounting processes assigned Ensure compliance with all company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Prepare audit schedules for independent auditors including the support documentation, as requested About You: Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Oracle R12 and Hyperion Essbase experience a plus Consolidations experience a plus Intercompany experience a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to drive change and process improvement Customer focused attitude, can develop effective relationships with business partners Flexible work hours necessary to accommodate critical deadlines or international business needs Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting Public accounting experience a plus 3+ years progressive experience in financial accounting, reporting, controls, and analysis Why You Should Work Here: The ability to work in an environment that encourages creativity and fresh ideas The ability to be on the leading edge of SaaS driven technology solutions for capital markets and regulatory disclosure requirements The opportunity to join a well-established and growing company that has just completed its most successful year About Us: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlsAbwm9SUM#action=share Toppan Merrill is an equal opportunity employer (EEO) and furthers the principles of EEO through Affirmative Action.
