Rx Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for order entry and triage. They manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately while interacting with LTC Facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians. They handle drug orders via faxes and other forms and answer questions on medications. The role utilizes Frameworks and Frameworks ECM software.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles.

  • Receive prescriptions and refill requests, verifying that information is complete and accurate.

  • Process prescriptions using third-party insurance billing.

  • Answer telephone calls, assist facilities and patients with questions, and refer them to the pharmacist for medication information as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the state of MN (national certification does not count)

  • 6+ months of pharmacy experience in order entry/retail

Shift:

Monday - Friday: 11am - 7:30pm
