Overview: Account Managers develop and maintain strong relationships with mid-market Group insurance clients to create long-term partnerships and ensure a high level of satisfaction and retention. The Account Manager also serves as the primary in-house resource to our Account Executives who work directly with our 450+ employer clients. *The internal job title for this position is Channel Partner Analyst or Channel Partner Sr. Analyst. We will consider candidates at both the P1 and P2 level for this opportunity. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Serve as the primary Account Manager for life and supplemental health clients with fewer than 3,000 employees, representing approximately $13 million in annual premium revenue. Analyze plan data and industry trends and develop a strategic plan for additional Securian solutions, services, and enhancements. Interpret and communicate financial and service results to clients in a consultative manner. Respond to client inquiries and facilitate virtual and /or telephone meetings/presentations to clients and producers. Participate in finalist meeting training and attend new sales and existing account finalist meetings. Participate in new client implementations. Achieve client satisfaction and retention goals consistent with the department goals. Co-management of large clients - serving as primary in-house resource and support to Client Relationship Advisors.Serves as the day-to-day contact for the client. This includes attending meetings, responding to client requests, assisting with projects, and work on annual stewardship materials. Assist with projects related to team development, client service and department initiatives. Maintain relationships with our Channel Partners. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in account management, customer service or sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills - analytical, resourceful and service oriented. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal associates. Organizational skills with the ability to balance workload to meet challenging volume, service and quality standards. Ability to understand numerical data and identify trends. Ability to pass life/health licensing exam within 6 months. Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture. Physical Job Requirements: Ability to utilize the keyboard, computer and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to work at least 40 hours per week. Ability to utilize the phone and/or virtual meeting platform for 1-4 hours per day. Ability to meet the physical demands of travel - approximately 4-6 trips per year. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle as well as an ability to utilize air travel.
