Busy law firm in the east metro is looking to add a Senior Litigation Attorney to their team! In this role, your main focus will be on professional liability, insurance, and medical malpractice defense cases. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in civil litigation (defense side experience required). Hybrid flexibility/scheduling offered after 3 months in office.

This person will be supporting current/ongoing files and be given the opportunity to partake in business development initiatives. No portable book of business required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of litigation cases from inception to resolution, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial.

• Develop and execute defense strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

• Take and defend depositions, including expert witnesses.

• Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.

• Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality legal services.

  Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the state bar in MN.

• A minimum of 7 years of civil litigation defense experience, with a focus on professional liability, medical malpractice, PI, and/or insurance defense.

• Demonstrated trial experience and familiarity with courtroom procedures.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience handling complex cases involving medical professionals, healthcare entities, or insurance companies.
