The Shoulder Sales Representative is primarily responsible for providing primary technical advice to customers to help achieve the sales objectives in assigned direct sales territories while operating within Company policies/procedures and the assigned expense budget. The Shoulder Sales Representative has contributory responsibility to gross profit on the sales in the U.S. and specific sales areas. What will you need to be successful? The foundation of your success relies on your technical expertise in the Shoulder Orthopedics portfolio. Your ability to build positive relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital administration enhances access to customers to provide data-driven, trusted solutions. You will also develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed your quota. You'll gain and maintain an acceptable level of knowledge of the Orthopedic Shoulder product line, business objectives, pricing strategies, and tried sales techniques for Orthopedic Shoulder products and all other Orthopedic products. Achieves sales quotas for Shoulder and Shoulder Orthopedic products within assigned area. Serve as a leader in the district in the capacity of POD leader, senior territory manager, Field Sales Trainer or otherwise designated trainer/mentor to less experienced Sales personnel (ASRs, and other selling reps). Establishes, develops and maintains field contact with key orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR Staff, administration, clinicians and researchers. Self-motivated salespeople who are committed to driving the business forward by taking strategic responsibility for your area 24/7, working with your customers to deliver the best solutions for our patients! Results-driven champions who are passionate about forming relationships to increase sales revenue within the territory and impact patient outcomes! Resourceful consultants who will work relentlessly to become proficient in Trauma Orthopaedics. Our salespeople provide first-class technical support to ensure that product availability meets customer and patient needs. Collaborative and dedicated teammates committed to partnering with all Smith+Nephew Trauma, Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities. What will you need? Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Minimum (4) four years sales experience in medical device industry preferred and (2) consecutive years of quota attainment Meet travel demands and work within a fast paced, high growth, multifaceted environment Ability to lift multiple instrument implant kits weighing approximately 20 lbs. each. Dynamic, assertive individual with a technical-oriented leadership ability and well-developed communication and presentation skills. Travel Requirements: within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully complete our credentialling process, which often includes COVID 19 vaccine management. The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $80-120,000 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications.
