Think Mutual Bank Financial Analyst in Rochester, Minnesota

Think Bank has a new opportunity in an entry level role for a Financial Analyst. This position will be a part of our Finance team and will focus on conducting financial reporting and analysis for various functions within the organization as well as supporting the forecasting and profit plan process. The position is located in Rochester, MN at Think's corporate office and offers a hybrid work environment requiring on-site work in combination with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week. As a Financial Analyst, you will provide analysis on an as-needed basis, including using in-depth statistical analysis, and utilize your thorough knowledge of reporting software to create and maintain reports and written analysis that summarize current activity and trends. You will support the forecasting and profit plan process, assisting in the creation of the 3-year forecast on a quarterly basis, and meeting with management to ascertain anticipated changes to production, balances, expenses, and income that may affect the forecast. You will use your keen analytical skills and high attention to detail to execute Lock Desk functions supporting our Mortgage staff in completing rate lock requests, selling applicable loans to the secondary market, and minimizing the financial implications of mortgages falling out of the pipeline. An ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets and have prior experience working in excel. You will have strong analytical skills, familiarity with the forecasting process, and possess a strong attention to detail with a natural curiosity. Additional responsibilities include: Actively track and monitor Think's existing reporting and analysis inventory Meet with report owners and key stakeholders to determine efficient usage of reporting resources Update the expense and non-interest income portions of the forecast based on feedback Work with Asset Liability Analyst to integrate loan and deposit balances as well as interest income/expense during the forecasting process Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, math, or related field OR 6 years' experience in financial services 3 years' experience in banking or as a financial analyst in a business setting preferred Microsoft Office experience required with thorough knowledge in Excel Data mining experience preferred Experience utilizing reporting software preferred (e.g. Cognos, MS Report Builder, etc.) This position is eligible for a full benefits package including: * Health insurance with HSA contribution * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Up to 23 days of PTO annually * Seven paid holidays * Four weeks of paid family leave * Up to 7.5% 401(k) employer match * Profit Sharing Plan * Tuition reimbursement * Clothing allowance * Hybrid work arrangement including both on-site and remote work options Think's open culture empowers employees to provide the best financial care to customers every single day.
