Job Description The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $40,400 - $52,500 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. The HR Payroll Coordinator will assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations. This role will support the Payroll Specialist and HR Operations Lead, along with the broader HR team by managing routine payroll tasks, maintaining records, and addressing employee inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a desire to learn and grow within the HR field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the payroll process by entering and verifying payroll data, processing time records, and ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll distribution. Address first-level payroll-related queries from employees, escalating complex issues to the Payroll Specialist as needed. Maintain and update payroll system and employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy, data integrity and confidentiality. Assist in preparing payroll-related reports and audits as required by the Payroll Specialist or HR Operations Lead. WORK ENVIRONMENT This role is a hyflex work arrangement; Team setting with 1/day onsite per week in Red Wing, MN headquarters office, with remote work eligibility the remainder of the week or as per business requirements are met. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience or training in payroll processing, HR, or a related field is preferred. Basic understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices. Experience with payroll software (experience with UKG is a plus). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
