As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you are responsible for the coordination, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing services provided to each resident at Pine Haven Care Center. Every other weekend and holiday required Day shift 6am-2:30pm Evening shift 2:15pm-10:45pm Night shift 10:30pm-7:00am RESPONSIBILITIES: The LPN role in Consultative Medicine includes, but is not limited to, patient visits (face to face and via telephone) review of patient health history, medication review, immunization administration, focused nutrition assessments, and blood pressure visits. The LPN collaborates daily with physicians, nursing colleagues, and support staff Able to work in a rapidly changing environment while participating in developing innovative and creative solutions to patient care. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a nurse in the State of Minnesota If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required Must be familiar with the standards of nursing practice and state and federal regulations Good oral and written communications skills. Good interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the clinical and/or research settings Able to work effectively with multiple members of the interdisciplinary care team Proficient in medication administration techniques Experienced in providing hospice care with empathy and professionalism Knowledgeable in case management practices for effective patient care Capable of working with individuals with developmental disabilities with patience and understanding Familiar with family planning methods and counseling services Competent in cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedural care Trained in airway management protocols for emergency situations Experienced in tube feeding procedures and monitoring patient response Proficient in venipuncture techniques for blood collection purposes $4,000 SIGN ON BONUS and a full benefit package with $0 medical insurance cost.
