Xcel Energy Planner Buyer Intern in Osseo, Minnesota

Position Summary
Work within Supply Chain with the Planner Buyer team to support the Distribution business unit. Work as an entry level planner buyer doing tasks such as PO creation, Supply Chain Reviews, Analyzing the metrics to determine how to unblock invoices for payment, attending scheduling meetings and working with the BU on material delivery.
This Internship will be working out of either our Maple Grove Service Center in Maple Grove or Rice Street Service Center in St. Paul and will be part-time during the 2024 - 2025 school year starting January 2025 and full-time during the summer months.
Responsibilities
Execute and coordinate material/service procurement & fulfillment activities.
Implement procurement strategies to achieve cost, schedule, and quality goals.
Support and align with inventory management, scheduling coordination, supplier performance management, and process improvement objectives.
Lead material/service procurement issues resolution, negotiate Supplier/customer disputes, and address performance issues.
Requirements
Enrolled in a business, supply chain or related degree.
Experience with MS office
Strong written and verbal communication

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $16.20 to $17.80 per hour
