responsibilities:
Provides non-routine analytical support to the Materials Science & Analytical Chemistry R&D Laboratory, primarily in the gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and HPLC test areas. Collaborates with senior laboratory staff on testing plans, data evaluation, data review, and other aspects of GPC, HPLC, and other testing.
Execute all aspects of GPC testing, including mobile phase preparation, sample preparation, data collection, data analysis, and report generation.
Assists with implementation of new methods/technologies in the Materials, Testing, Analysis, and Characterization (MTAC) lab.
Reviews data, documentation, data analysis, and reports from other analysts in similar test areas.
May train to and execute testing to other areas as needed.
Attends team meetings and provides updates on the progress of ongoing/long-term testing campaigns. Communicates results and progress effectively through written and verbal channels.
May lead special projects, write new procedures and work plans for tests and give guidance in specialized analytical technologies.
Perform equipment maintenance activities as needed.
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Must be able to pass fit test requirements for a respirator.
qualifications:
2 - 4 Years with BS
0 - 2 Years with MS
Experience with GPC or SEC or HPLC.
GPC experience strongly preferred
skills: HPLC
