This position is located on our Onamia MN campus
Summary
The population is predominantly geriatric, although occasionally the resident population includes some young adult and/or middle-aged residents.
The Food Service Worker position serves meals and snacks to our patients, residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as MLHS Nutrition Services policies and procedures.
Job Duties for Food Service Worker
Serves the meal according to diet extensions following safe food handling procedures
Ensures portion control, temperature, and appearance of meal meets standards
Assist with meal service as assigned
Ensures timely beginning of meal service
Operates dish machine to wash dishes, pots/pans, and utensils
Stores clean dishes according to standards
Clean and sanitize food delivery equipment
Follows cleaning and sanitizing procedures
Perform work efficiently while maintaining a neat sanitary work area
May set up, serve and clean up special catering events
May be assigned to run the cash register
Assists in putting away groceries as assigned
Prepares and delivers snacks per rotation
Gathers and delivers requested stock to various departments
Must complete all Healthstream training assignments

Preferred Education and Experience
Health care industry experience
High school diploma or equivalent
ServSafe certified
