Job Description Primary Objective & Scope of Position The UI/UX Web Designer is responsible for designing and optimizing the company's website and digital platforms to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience. This role involves developing user-centric designs that align with the company's brand identity, comply with accessibility standards, and support customer awareness and conversion goals. The designer will create wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality graphics while collaborating closely with developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to bring designs to life. Additionally, this position requires continuous analysis of user data and feedback to improve the functionality, usability, and visual appeal of the website. Essential Functions & Accountabilities Design visually appealing and user-friendly websites, including landing pages, navigation elements, buttons, and other interactive components.Develop and manage wireframes, prototypes, and mockups based on user research and usability best practices.Refine, lead, and optimize interactive components to enhance the user experience and streamline navigation.Ensure oversee all designs align with brand identity, tone, and voice.Design and lead the creation of high-quality graphics and assets for digital marketing campaigns, banners, and promotions.Maintain brand alignment to ensure design alignment with Slumberland brand, tone, and voice. Ensure and lead compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to create inclusive digital experiences.Continuously improve website interfaces based on analytics, user feedback, and testing results.Research and stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in UI/UX and eCommerce. Communication: Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented effectively and meet intended functionality.Work closely with marketing, eCommerce, and branding teams to align messaging, campaigns, and visual standards.Interpret and leverage data from analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.Communicate, manage and present design concepts and strategies clearly and cross-functionally.Support Agile workflows and project timelines to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.Maintain consistent communication with relevant teams to address issues, gather feedback, and implement design improvements. Salary to be $70,000-100,000 Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, User Experience Design, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in UI/UX or graphic design, preferably in eCommerce or retail. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar software. Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in web design, user flows, and interaction design. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices. Experience with prototyping tools and responsive design techniques. Ability to interpret data from analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to inform design decisions. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms. Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or front-end development.Familiarity with Agile workflows and project management tools like Jira.
