Job Title: Job Operator
Job Description
The right candidate will operate and cut steel on a Python Laser.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Work with equipment and file settings to monitor quality control of items produced on the equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: cut quality and hole quality.
Investigate machine settings and nesting techniques to increase quality, machine performance, and throughput.
When needed, assist programmers to create Python laser and other equipment programs for production, including .DXF files for individual parts and nesting full sheets.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Properly identify shapes such as sheet, plate, channel, tube, and flat bar along with their thickness and gauge. Identify material types such as mild steel and stainless steel.
Provide backup when needed to fabricators on Brake Press/Shear/etc.

2nd shift: 3pm - 1am (Monday - Thursday)
$25 - $28 with a $5 shift differential
