The position of Service Technician performs a variety of mechanical duties related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of farm equipment and machinery. Here are some key responsibilities and requirements for this position: Responsibilities: Work with electronic diagnostic equipment and computer software to inspect and diagnose issues with agricultural equipment and machinery. Repair or replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, including oil changes, cleaning, and part replacement. Prepares all forms (details of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments. Reports any additional work required on equipment to the Service Manager. Participates in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager Accounts for all time and for all materials used in performing work duties. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion. Reports on any issues with shop tools, equipment or vehicles that are in a serviceable condition or are unsafe for use. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Communicate with customers about the status and cost of repairs
