Job Summary

To complete measurements, FAIR’s, and data entry for multiple lines, measurement systems, and software. Lab Technician will be responsible for working with PPAP’s, CMM Programmers, PPAP tech’s, and auditors to get tasks done correctly and efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the flow of PPAP’s

  • Support production and PPAP’s with use of gauges and lab equipment

  • Audit various process characteristics per specification plans, may include but is not limited to Receiving inspection of components or raw materials, WIP, Quarantined inventory, and Re-worked components or assemblies

  • Completing and working with auditors on internal PPAP’s

  • Maintain or input quality data/files as required. May include but is not limited to: QA files, PPAP, Audit results, FAIR's, RMO's, Deviations, PQR's, FTQ, PP100

  • Maintain quality inspection equipment as necessary

  • Provide input into improving existing inspection procedures and actively participate in lean manufacturing activities

  • Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations

  • Maintain a neat and organized work area

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Experience, & Education

  • Familiarity withparts,tolerances,dimensions,problemareas, variousinspection equipmentand quality terminology preferred

  • Working knowledge of AS400 preferred

  • Must have a performance history of quality conscious work, good attendance and safe work habit

  • Experience with basic gauging equipment (micrometers,calipers, height gauges, etc…) preferred

  • Experience with engine assembly preferred

  • Must have flexibility to cover other shifts when needed

  • Must be proficient with PC software programs (Word,Excel,Outlook, etc…) including the ability to manipulate documents and databases

  • Must have strongwrittenand communication skills

  • Must be able to manage conflict and solve problems independently

  • Must have demonstratedorganizationaland leadership skills

  • Must be responsible, enthusiastic, trustworthy, and able to work with limited supervision

  • High School (High school diploma) Diploma or equivalent Required

  • Technical (Trades certificate / diploma) diploma or equivalent training preferred
