Hennepin County Volunteer: Library Tech Help Tutors in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description Hennepin County Library is looking for volunteers to assist library patrons (primarily adults and seniors) with their computer and technology questions during Tech Help Tutor programs at multiple library locations. The service helps patrons improve their basic computer/smart device and job search skills through one-to-one assistance. Library Branch locations in need: Please click here. In this volunteer role, you will: Assist patrons with logging in and navigating a computer or smart device (smartphone, tablet, e-reader). Help patrons securely navigate the internet (connecting to Wi-Fi, sign up for online accounts, login to email or social media account, and changing passwords). Assist patrons with common software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Suite) Guide patrons in using library resources/technology (like e-books/printers/scanners) Support patrons with job search assistance: resumes, searching the internet for jobs, and job applications.
