Starting Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually, dependent upon the selected candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, and internal equity. This position is hybrid with the ability to do most of the work remotely. The successful candidate will be provided University-configured equipment and supportive technology tools, however, they are expected to have access to a reliable internet connection for duties undertaken remotely. Work arrangements will be discussed during the interview. Commuting to the University of Minnesota TC campus would be required based on project/team needs. Potential travel once annually to convene Center. Onsite location: D350 Mayo Memorial Building, Minneapolis TC Campus - East-bank The Families and Long-term Care & Aging (LTC) Projects aims to conduct research with families who care for relatives with dementia or other chronic illnesses, engage these families and care professionals in various education and outreach efforts, and develop and evaluate clinical models to support caregiving families. This coordinator position will be supported by The State Alzheimer's Research Support Center (StARS), a Specialized Center Cooperative Agreement (U54) grant funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA; 09/15/2024 - 08/31/2029). The State Alzheimer's Research Support Center (StARS) features a robust, multi-faceted transdisciplinary collaboration, designed to address gaps in knowledge and advance the research evidence base. The Center will develop a strong infrastructure to examine state and sub-state level services and policies related to the delivery and coordination of health care, aging services, and home and community-based services for people living with Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease Related Dementias (AD/ADRDs) and their caregivers across all communities (particularly underserved ones). StARS will guide states through partnership, engagement, and pilot projects to build collaborations and create a shared data infrastructure to advance the accessibility, affordability, and effectiveness of dementia care services across the United States. This infrastructure will also facilitate the examination of policy variations and changes on dementia care services within and across states. The partnership building, pilot project support, and data sharing infrastructure of StARS will ultimately result in greater dissemination of integrated/coordinated dementia care services that yield positive outcomes for people with dementia and care partners living in various regions and underrepresented communities. The StARS Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the project. The coordinator will work closely with the University of Minnesota, Johns Hopkins University, Emory University, and other collaborating StARS institutions as appropriate. Ideal Competencies: Execution, Leadership, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Planni g and Coordinating, Attention to Detail, Self-efficacy Key Responsibilities: Coordination/Communication 50% Media/Resource Development 15% Data tracking and management 15% Reporting 10% Facilitate data sharing 10% Specifically, duties include: Coordination/Communication 50% Execute day-to-day project management tasks (convene committees, schedule & facilitate meetings, arrange travel/reimbursement, distribute agendas and meeting minutes, collect data from individual cores, summarize progress) Coordinate communication and tasks between multiple Center cores, committees, and stakeholders Coordinate recommendations to the Panel and StARS Executive Committee Work with the University of Minnesota School of Public Health's grants manager to review Center, Core, and research/pilot project budgets Coordinate project timelines across multiple cores/Universities Lead/refine procedures to facilitate state selection and guidance based on the project proposal Media/Resource Development 15% Develop administrative infrastructure documents Establish internal and external (website) communication processes and tools (with UMN support) Manage the Center website and disseminate Center-related content highlighting the Center's work Develop and communicate resources/guidance for partners and pilot awardees to support data sharing, integration, and harmonization Data tracking and management 15% Develop and host a dashboard to track project milestones/progress of StARS activities Manage the Center evaluation and assist in collecting and maintaining all evaluation data (stakeholder interviews, etc.) Reporting 10% Prepare interim Center reports for review; assist the investigators in preparing regular reports and similar documentation for NIA and other regulatory bodies Facilitate data sharing 10% Offer direct assistance to states and the Center Cores to arrange necessary data use agreements and determine appropriate human subjects approvals for each partnering state's research/pilot project Other Initiate quality improvement efforts in each year of the grant Other duties that arise Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience or advanced degree plus 2 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 8 years.
