Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

  • Prepare, reconcile, and assist with maintenance of financial records in the area of accounts payable.

  • Enter, verify, reconcile account discrepancies, and process accounts payable including ACH’s; reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment and posting to appropriate GL accounts. Sort, analyze, prioritize, and prep incoming work daily for accuracy and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

  • Process and maintain same day EFT’s, manual checks or check requests as necessary. Respond and support administrative tasks by answering and directing inquiries, compiling data for reports, filing documents, processing various reports, maintaining files, compiling information, and updating spreadsheets.

  • Manage vendor and customer accounting issues that may arise. Provide customer service through researching vendor accounting issues and working toward a resolution. Provide KwikTag maintenance and resolve related inquiries.

  • 1099 preparation and maintenance. Compile and analyze financial information to assist in preparation of financial statements. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and internal control procedures.

  • Preparation of journal entries and monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts relating to AR, prepaids, and accruals. Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end close, and all financial reporting deadlines are met.

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements for designated business unit.

  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of journal entries. Prepare standard and ad-hoc financial reports. Support financial audit preparation and coordination of the audit process.
