Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

The individual working in this position will have to wear a gown, mask, safety glasses, and hair net to handle, store, transfer, and transport chemical material used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This will require the worker to operate a piece of equipment to mix, batch, or take bulk product down to smaller weights per unit packaged. The operator will have to adjust equipment depending on the size of batches, temperatures, and run times. The operator in this role will follow specific SOPs and work instructions to carry out functions within their role, complete routine maintenance on equipment, and record operating data, test results, instrument readings, shipping and receiving paperwork, plant data sheets, environmental reports, inventory sheets, inspection reports, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Handle, store, transfer, and transport chemical materials used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Operate equipment within a controlled environment to mix, batch, or package products.

  • Adjust equipment settings based on batch sizes, temperatures, and run times.

  • Follow specific SOPs and work instructions to carry out job functions.

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

  • Record operating data, test results, instrument readings, shipping and receiving paperwork, plant data sheets, environmental reports, inventory sheets, and inspection reports.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years working in manufacturing in a production environment.

  • 1+ year of experience in a GMP type environment (food, chemical, medical, etc.).

  • 1 year of experience working off of work orders.

  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Solid computer usage experience including typing, sending emails, and using shipping software/inventory systems to print labels and track products.
