Apply for Job Job ID364885 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyAcademic Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code9546 Employee ClassAcad Prof and Admin Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job About the Job Job Duties/Responsibilities: Clinical/Scientific (70%): *Perform a limited set of advanced study procedures (e.g., adjustment of implantable neurostimulator parameters) under physician supervision. *Contribute to and draft publication-quality reports of study progress and outcomes. This will include both textual and graphical design, with writing to communicate to audiences across a wide range of education and sophistication. * Collaborate with domain experts to develop and maintain scientific procedures for the study, including creating study proposals for submission to funding bodies and sponsors. *Review ongoing study results and monitoring data, making recommendations for adjustments to the study design as necessary to meet scientific objectives. *Stay current with scientific and clinical literature related to neuromodulation for spinal cord injury, ensuring the ability to develop and articulate the scientific rationale behind study designs. *Supervise and train clinical research coordinators and technicians on study protocols. Regulatory (25%): *Develop and write Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols for clinical trials of neurostimulation therapies, primarily for small-scale Early Feasibility pilots. Administrative (5%): *Maintain strong working relationships with study financial sponsors, device manufacturers, regulatory body representatives, data analytics teams, and university administrators. *Represent the studies at key meetings, such as national scientific conferences or cross-institutional harmonization meetings, when appropriate. Qualifications Required Qualifications: *Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) with a minimum of two years of experience, in clinical research trials. Degrees in fields such as medicine, public health, and social sciences may qualify. Preferred Qualifications: *Experience in clinical practice and conducting clinical trials. *Proven expertise in designing, leading, and publishing clinical research. *Experience developing funding proposals for scientific or clinical studies, with a focus on grant submissions. *Skilled in independently drafting regulatory documents for clinical studies. *Prior experience working with neurostimulation and medical devices.
