Overview

Are you an advance practice Pharmacy Technician?

We at M Health Fairview are looking for you to join an excellent team over at the University Medical Center retail team!

The successful candidate will provide functional leadership and support for the pharmacy, under the direction of a pharmacist. Provide customer service. Assist in preparing and dispensing medication and supplies. Handle register transactions. Receive prescriptions. Unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy in accurate order.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as assigned.

  • Assist customers with prescriptions and/or other products.

  • Performs duties as assigned by Site Manager/Pharmacist including using pharmacy systems to enter client and drug information, ensuring information is entered accurately, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is accurate, and checking for possible interactions.

  • Assist in maintenance of the pharmacy to reflect a clean and well-stocked condition daily.

  • Handle cash register transactions accurately.

  • Process prescription information in the computer system.

  • Assist in inventory control functions.

  • Complies with all relevant laws, regulation and policies

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Six Months Pharmacy Technician Experience

License/Certification/Registration

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)

Preferred Education

  • Graduate of a pharmacy technician program

Preferred Experience

  • Previous Pharmacy or Medical Experience

License/Certification/Registration

  • Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy.

Additional Requirements :

  • Excellent customer service skills, proficient in the English language, good attention to detail, ability to problem solve effectively, ability to follow policies and procedures, basic math skills, basic typing skills and excellent communication skills.
