RBC Operations Team Lead II - Mutual Fund (Trading) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? As an Operations team lead in the Mutual Fund Trading team, provide training, coaching, and work direction for Operations Associates supporting time sensitive, complex exception-based and/or highly specialized processes. You will also support escalated complex customer service situations, complete process oversight, support new initiative/process implementation, and provide department processing back-up support when needed. Look at current Mutual Fund Trading processes for efficiencies and ensure Mutual Fund Trading desk procedures are up to date with accurate information and being followed Ensure Mutual Fund Trading reconciliation recs are completed accurately, timely and aged items are escalated appropriately Handle escalated issues with mutual fund companies, vendors, other broker dealers, other operations departments, field, etc. Monitor workload and different systems to ensure service levels are being met Back up for when team members are out of the office or due to volumes, etc. Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Mutual Fund Trading team processes; Train new and existing employees on team Mutual Fund Trading processes Complete oversight on processes timely and thoroughly Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned What do you need to succeed? Must-have 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of job-related experience in the operations for a mutual fund trading team 1+ year prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide clear work direction to others; Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management Computer skills in Microsoft-based products including Word, Exceland Outlook Nice-to-have 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field What's in it for you?
