ABM Industries Maintenance Supervisor in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor has major accountabilities in support of several properties for the City of Minneapolis Parking Division. Implement and manage operating, maintenance, and repair programs to assure maximum life and reliability of all mechanical systems within the property. Oversee and participate in general maintenance and operation processes, coordinate vendors in support of maintenance projects.

Core Function: The Maintenance Supervisor has major accountabilities in support of several properties for the City of Minneapolis Parking Division. Implement and manage operating, maintenance, and repair programs to assure maximum life and reliability of all mechanical systems within the property. Oversee and participate in general maintenance and operation processes, coordinate vendors in support of maintenance projects.
Duties and Expectations
Working Hours and Reporting for Duty
Possess scheduling flexibility due to business demands for each location.
Start your shift on time, well rested and ready to work.
Expect that shift and break times are flexible and may be interrupted by business or guest needs.
Must be willing to participate in on-call rotations for after hours needs
Must be able to read, speak and write English well in order to understand and follow directions, communicate clearly with guests and complete reports.
Compliance with all operating SOP’s.
Plan, organize, direct and control mechanical and maintenance operations, including those related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, building management systems, and general construction projects.
Oversee day-to-day activities of engineering/maintenance staff and vendor personnel. This includes delegating responsibilities and checking on work regularly, conducting regular meetings with staff and mentoring and counseling as appropriate.
Direct initiatives related to contractor relations, safety, energy management and functions that promote optimal physical habitability.
Ensure compliance with expense guidelines, company policies and procedures, governing codes and regulations and, when appropriate, third-party owner directives.

Requirements
Four (4) year college degree; Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering or five (5) years equivalent work experience.
Valid Minnesota Driver’s License
Minnesota State Chief “C” Boilers License
