Overview
MHealth Fairview has an immediate opening for an Inventory Specialist I at our Kasota location located in Minneapolis. This benefits (https://www.fairview.org/benefits/noncontract) eligible position is a 1.0FTE (80 hours/2 weeks) on the day shift.
The Inventory Specialist I is responsible for the adjustment of inventory levels of stock and nonstock supplies/equipment/linen. Analyze and monitor inventory levels. Consider labor and acquisition costs in resolving appropriate par levels for efficient inventory management. Maintain, verify and update receiving and distribution records and supplies. Provide communication to all customers regarding changes and updates to product descriptions, number, and units of measure, stock additions and deletions. Provide strong leadership in guiding and supporting department managers in appropriate inventory control to manage costs and meet department fluctuations. Works directly with vendors, suppliers, front line staff, customers, and managers. Serve as subject matter authority on Inventory and Procurement portions of MMIS. Recommend process improvements.
Responsibilities Job Description
Manage/direct/revise inventory levels throughout the site.
Analyze and monitor inventory levels on regular basis
Maintain proper inventory levels and adjust order quantities on inventory computer systems.
Reconcile inventory variances.
Analyze and monitor data reports and develop individualized recommendations for department managers.
Measure and monitor data for process improvement.
Maintain accurate inventory control reports for department managers.
Maintain, verify and update receiving and distribution records
Regulatory Compliance. Assist with product recalls and returns.
Collaborate with stakeholders regarding inventory data and recommend opportunities for standardization or improvement.
Assess unit needs and recommend adjustments in par levels and/or variety of product.
Collaborate with Managers to identify acceptable product substitutions.
Change department profiles in collaboration with Manager and front-line staff.
Perform daily business functions of Supply Chain
Meet customer needs by placing and expediting orders.
Receive online orders and reconcile receiving discrepancies.
Manages consignment inventory
Maintain a clean and professional work area
Generate needed stickers and labels and maintain accuracy
Minimizes expired products
Support and meet customer needs.
Assist with stocking disposable and reusable supplies and equipment.
Perform cycle counting.
Complete regulatory scanning of Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) items in Consortiex.
Do daily receiving and buyer responsibilities
Support product or site issues to retail operations
Manage inventory order points in SupplyLogix to decrease inventory carry.
Add inventory information to products in pharmacy processing system and fulfillment automation system.
Support Pharmacy Buyers in completing inventory tasks such as: SupplyLogix transfers, cycle counts, PharmaLogistics returns, inventory owes and pulling outdates and for year.
Help the fulfillment team with workflow responsibilities like packing or filling as able.
Qualifications
Required
Experience
1-year inventory management or 2 years in healthcare working with medical products
License/Certification/Registration
Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
Preferred
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Nursing or Related field
Experience
3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician within Fairview Specialty Services Pharmacy
License/Certification/Registration
Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
