Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing systems and equipment in PSM/RMP/ISO/SQF regulated and certified facilities. Your role includes maintaining accurate reports and records, performing general repairs, providing feedback for equipment design improvements, and responding to trouble calls. You will also direct the work of third-party contractors/vendors, ensure snow removal and salting of driveways and entryways, and be available for on-call emergencies. Uphold our standards for quality and safety through continuous improvement activities and adherence to environmental, safety, and health regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate reports and records including documentation of systems and components.
Perform general facility and equipment repairs including pipe fitting, pump repair, HVAC, compressors, pump operations, tank inspections, and sprinkler systems.
Provide feedback for engineers to help modify existing equipment and improve the design of future equipment.
Respond to trouble calls quickly and make repairs as needed.
Direct the work of third-party contractors/vendors.
Perform snow removal and salting of driveways and entryways.
Be available for on-call emergencies.
Uphold quality and safety standards through continuous improvement and adherence to regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
Facility/manufacturing maintenance experience required.
Ability to communicate complex and/or technical operations and procedures in terms easily understood by non-technical operators.
Valid driver's license.
Computer skills to effectively use maintenance software, communicate through email, and research equipment/spare parts.
Ability to work weekends (when needed) and be on-call.

Work Environment
This is a chemical distribution facility in Minneapolis, MN, where you will work around chemicals, following strict safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment. The position may require working at heights. We are a formulator, manufacturer, blender, distributor, and sales agent for thousands of industrial chemicals and reagent grade laboratory chemicals. Our clients include water treatment facilities, manufacturers, food and dairy producers, research labs, and more. Typical hours are 1st Shift from 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm, working 40-46 hours per week. The role may include on-call duties, some Saturday work, and floating to other plants in the cities for additional support.

The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $72800.00
