The AI & Data team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

AI & Data Engineering will work with our clients to:

  • Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance, and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms

  • Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions

  • Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements

    Qualifications

    Required:

  • 3+ years experience in data engineering, experience in data-driven solutions, leveraging Analytics and Business Intelligence for information dissemination

  • 3+ years experience with Scala and Python

  • 3+ years experience with SQL

  • 3+ years prior consulting experience

  • 2+ years experience with Spark

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data core modernization and data ingestion

  • 3+ years experience leading workstreams or small teams

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    Preferred:

  • Experience with Cloud using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Understanding of emerging technologies (such as GenAI) and advanced data architectures (ie: Multimodal data management & model design, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Products, etc.)

  • Understanding of the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality processes, data warehousing design and implementation, table structure, fact and dimension tables, logical and physical database design, data modeling, reporting process metadata, and ETL processes.

  • Experience designing and implementing reporting and visualization for unstructured and structured data sets

  • Experience designing and developing data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching

  • Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards, processes and technology

  • Experience working with multi-Terabyte data sets

  • Experience with real-time data movement solutions that use security and encryption protocols while data is in transit

  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,950 to $208,250.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
