Our 8-week career training programs provide participants with the skills needed to be successful on any job. Our training focuses on individual development, Personal Empowerment, Career Training, and the 21st Century Skills that today s employers are looking for. Graduates of this program typically double or triple their annual income. Our career coaches help participants develop a career plan while providing them with the resources and placement connections needed to achieve their goals. Employers hire TCR graduates because they value that TCR graduates apply their Personal Empowerment skills leading to accountability, responsibility, conflict resolution, positive interaction, attendance and long-term change. They also know TCR graduates receive continued coaching services through the end of the first year of employment and that over 70% of TCR graduates stay at their job 1+ years, well above the general average. Our Personal Empowerment Training curriculum that provides transformative Emotional Intelligence Training has been designed by The Empowerment Institute at Twin Cities R!SE. Not only do our TCR program participants benefit from this training, The Empowerment Institute partners with businesses, schools, universities, and nonprofits to help them create their own empowered cultures within these organizations. JOB DETAILS: Department: Employer Services Reports To: Employer Services Manager Location: Minneapolis Office In-office or Hybrid: Hybrid Full or Part-time: Full-time FLSA Status: Exempt JOB PURPOSE: The primary role of the Employment Specialist is to support, document and develop job strategies with participants. Establish relationships with employers to find meaningful career opportunities for participants. The Employment Specialist reports to the Employer Services Manager and will work in collaboration with coaches and other program staff. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Job Development and Placement Achieve a minimum 70% employment placement rate for participants by utilizing job matching tools and employment websites (Realtime Talent Exchange, Ability Profiler, O*Net, etc.) to identify and secure appropriate opportunities. Establish strong employer relationships that result in employment offers for participants. Track and report placement success rates in real-time to adjust strategies as needed for better outcomes. Provide Ongoing Support: Serve as a secondary coach to monitor participant progress post-placement, ensuring sustained employment and intervening when necessary to maintain employment stability. Developing Job Strategies Ensure at least 90% of participants have a tailored, measurable job strategy that leads to final placement. Collaborate with coaches to create individualized job search strategies based on participants previous experience and career interests. Continuously assess and adjust strategies to meet employment goals. Track key metrics such as participant readiness, interviews secured, and placements. Evaluate the success of each strategy, making data-driven adjustments to improve job placement rates. Training and Skills Development Maintain a 1-year retention rate of at least 80% for participants placed into employment. Design and execute retention plans for employed participants, providing ongoing support for up to two years. Track outcomes and provide targeted interventions as necessary to ensure continued employment. Conduct regular check-ins and document key milestones, including promotions or other advancements, to demonstrate the long-term impact of the program. Retention and Long-term Outcomes Maintain a 1-year retention rate of at least 80% for participants placed into employment. Design and execute retention plans for employed participants, providing ongoing support for up to two years. Track outcomes and provide targeted interventions as necessary to ensure continued employment. Conduct regular check-ins and document key milestones, including promotions or other advancements, to demonstrate the long-term impact of the program. Other duties as assigned SUPERVISION: N/A - This position does not supervise any staff. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 50,700 TO 61,200 annual salary.
