Description

We are inviting applications for the role of a Customer Service Representative in the Healthcare, based out of MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The job primarily involves processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls from customers such as members, providers, and facilities in a call center setting.

• Identify the type of assistance needed such as benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, explanation of benefits, and claims information.

• Resolve issues during the first call by navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide appropriate responses to the caller.

• Deliver information and answer questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with members and providers.

• Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems.

• Research complex issues across multiple databases and collaborate with support resources to resolve customer issues and/or partner with others to resolve escalated issues.

• Meet performance goals established for the position in areas including efficiency, call quality, customer satisfaction, and attendance.

• Demonstrate the ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner.

• Apply strong communication skills and empathy in daily interactions with customers.

• Utilize critical thinking skills to problem-solve and resolve customer concerns

Requirements • Prior experience in a customer service role within the healthcare industry

• Proficiency in handling inbound calls and providing excellent customer service

• Demonstrated ability to process payments and handle billing and claim administration

• Strong skills in researching and resolving customer issues

• Experience with call center operations and workstation support

• Familiarity with TRICARE and other benefit functions related to the healthcare industry

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

• Regular and reliable attendance is a necessity

• Experience with authorizations in a healthcare setting

• Computer literacy and proficiency with multiple databases and systems

• Ability to work with offshore teams, if required

• Critical thinking skills and ability to meet performance goals

• Ability to provide clear explanations to customers on complex issues

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment is a plus
