Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are in the healthcare industry, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and we are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be handling customer service duties such as responding to inquiries, maintaining customer records, and processing applications. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound calls from patients and case managers, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.

• Accurately input customer orders into the system and conduct follow-ups on any orders that may be delayed.

• Review and confirm benefit eligibility based on fee schedules.

• Submit and process authorizations to insurance companies, ensuring all necessary details are correctly captured.

• Proactively interact with management to understand and define your career path in the organization.

• Utilize your knowledge of basic medical terminology and electronic medical record systems to assist customers effectively.

• Maintain a high level of customer service while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Demonstrate proficiency in customer service software and data entry tasks.

• Be an active participant in the learning process, ready to learn new things, and understand how your role fits into the larger team. Requirements • Experience in a call center customer service role is essential

• Proven customer service skills are required

• Proficiency in using customer service software

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology is a plus

• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle challenging customer interactions with patience and professionalism

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
