Job Title: Mazak Lathe Machinist

Job Description

A contract manufacturer specializing in aerospace and defense products is searching for a Lathe Machinist. The ideal candidate will work on various precision machining tasks for key customers such as Collins Aerospace and Honeywell.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines

  • Work with Mazatrol and other CNC programs

  • Handle setups, operation, tooling changes, and troubleshooting

  • Machine materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel

  • Manage both low and medium runs

Essential Skills

  • Experience with CNC lathe machines

  • Proficiency in Mazatrol and Mazak lathe operations

  • Knowledge of DMG turning machines

  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

  • Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances

  • Strong shop math skills

  • Proficiency with measuring tools

Shift: 1st Shift 7 Am to 3:30 Mon-Fri

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with manual mills and lathes

  • Ability to work with live tooling capabilities

  • Experience in a precision machining environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
